As a rule, we like pets....it's the owners that sometimes cause problems. For hotel guests with pets we charge £10 per pet per night and we reserve the right to charge for any significant damage that you or your animals cause. (See Tariff for full details).

Dogs on a lead are welcome in the pub provided they stay on the floor (that means not on the seats) and behave. The only areas dogs are not welcome are upstairs in the pub (where the cat is normally asleep) or in the Conservatory. Please understand that while we are happy to extend our welcome to pets at The Sun, that does involve some risk on our part as we don't know your pet or how it behaves in company. We have a duty to keep the place orderly and for that reason will not hesitate to intervene if they start to cause a problem for other guests. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

We are also happy to welcome horse riders - we have a large garden and a convenient tree to tie horses to, but bring your own twine (horsey people will understand.....and that's me told!).
